## Profile

Front-end engineer with eight years of experience building high-traffic, consumer-facing web products. I'm currently the de facto technical lead on Ticketmaster's Event Details Page, the page that sells tickets for some of the world's biggest tours (Taylor Swift, Oasis) and absorbs huge spikes in demand. My focus is UI polish, accessibility and performance under real-world load, working closely with designers throughout. I'm also leading my team's move to agentic coding with Claude Code.

## Experience

### Ticketmaster: Senior Front End Engineer (Lead, Event Details Page)

London, June 2021 to present

The Event Details Page (EDP) is the main ticket-purchase surface across Ticketmaster's global platform.

- **Consolidation:** I'm leading the merge of two legacy React applications into a single global experience in Next.js and TypeScript. This is one of Ticketmaster's key strategic projects and is now live on over 80,000 events, with improved conversion over the pages it replaced.
- **Real-time availability:** I own the SDK that streams live seat and inventory updates into the EDP, keeping what users see accurate and responsive during the heaviest onsales.
- **Performance and reliability:** When a major tour goes on sale, I work to keep the EDP fast and resilient under those spikes, so fans aren't lost to a slow page or an error at the moment that matters most.
- **Design partnership:** I work closely with designers to turn their intent into polished, high-fidelity UI, and maintain our shared component library. Our consolidation work also focuses on the general fit and finish of the page, with responsiveness and polish paramount.
- **Accessibility:** I help champion semantic HTML, screen-reader and keyboard navigation support, and keep the team at a high standard.
- **Agentic coding:** I'm part of a working group adapting our workflows to take advantage of the pace agentic coding can bring, while keeping a high standard of reliability and maintainability.
- **Team and hiring:** I regularly mentor engineers and own the front-end hiring bar for the UK, running the technical interviews for most front-end hires.

- Built and maintained the React front end for the online-groceries Product Display Page and the home-delivery slot-booking journey, used by millions of customers.
